Area Manager, Field Ancillary Revenue

 

REPORTS TO: Director, Field Ancillary Revenue

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Position manages a team of field ancillary managers within assigned area of responsibility and directs all forms of ancillary revenue within assigned area.  Analyzes area and location trends to identify sales opportunities and develops and executes revenue growth strategies for assigned area(s).  Partners with field operations management, L&D, HR, and other area business partners to deliver strategies focused on growth in support of business objectives. Trains and coaches field ancillary managers in implementing appropriate processes and methods to achieve and exceed ancillary revenue goals. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Partners with Area, Regional, City, District, and Local Market managers to identify and analyze areas of sales and revenue generation opportunities for products and/or services. 

·         Develops strategies to execute opportunities in support of business goals.

·         Monitors Sales Performance Managers’ overall effectiveness, productivity, and results in the sales process. 

·         Executes local sales training programs while keeping up to date on new training methods and techniques.

·         Designs sales strategies specific to the needs of assigned area. 

·         Communicates with and supports area key stakeholders to ensure the ABG Service and Sales process is being followed in an ethical and approved manner.

·         Consults, trains, mentors, and coaches management and associates in revenue generation performance and overall sales effectiveness.

·         Develops and maintains Counter Sales training materials in collaboration with Learning and Development.

·         Demonstrates an ability to determine root cause analysis and utilize resources to provide appropriate solutions.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in sales and/or sales training.
  • Minimum of 2 years managerial experience.
  • Operations experience is a plus.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Strong strategic planning, analytical management and implementation skills.
  • Knowledge of ancillary sales, performance leadership and/or Quality Assurance standards.
  • Prior experience in sales training, leadership development, customer/client service and/or presentation/teaching skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of effective sales techniques and principles.
  • Strong leadership and creativity skills.
  • Persuasive and motivational communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Contribute positively to the organization, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 

Travel Requirements: This position is based in an area office and requires significant travel.
